Blinds for your ceiling centrepiece

Roof lanterns and flat roof lights are a fantastic way to improve the appearance of a flat roof extension often providing a striking visual feature to the room space.

Roof lanterns open up your ceiling to the sky and maximise light flow making rooms look bigger and brighter. However, heat loss is an issue and incorporating a roof lantern to your extension will result in more heat loss than just a flat roof. Quality blinds can help solve this problem and at the same time provide aesthetic appeal particularly at night.

Oakhurst are experts in all types of conservatory roof blinds. We can supply you with beautiful looking pleated, roller or pinoleum roof blinds in a large variety of fabrics and colours. Made to measure conservatory blinds to fit your lantern will control heat gain and reduce light and glare. This is crucial if you want to utilise your room all year round, especially for activities such as watching television or for working on a computer.

Remote Control Blinds

We offer Roller, Roman Fold and Pleated motorised conservatory blinds. These use 24Volt DC motors or 240V AC motors. This gives great flexibility for both roof blinds and window blinds. These can be operated individually or in groups just from one remote control handset.

Our small 24volt motors powerful and are concealed inside the blind rails or roller tubes. You can control blinds with either the handset, wall switches, light sensors, timers or home management systems such as Lutron.

Blackout Fabric

We stock a range of blind backing fabrics each with a different purpose. Thermal coated or Blackout Fabric, for instance, is designed specifically to keep your conservatory cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
