During the visit we will measure and survey your conservatory, allowing you time to browse our extensive range of fabrics.  A quotation will be given to you at the consultation.
As an independent company, one not tied to specific fabric suppliers, we offer you access to more than 2,000 fabric choices across the full variety of ranges available on the market today.

Oakhurst firmly rejects pressure selling practices. Once we have discussed your requirements, we will leave you to make your own decisions in your own time. We will not make any unwanted follow up calls. It is our experience that in appraising a purchase for bespoke blinds, our customers appreciate, initially a brief telephone consultation from one of our experienced managers to ascertain your needs. We ask that, if possible, you email a photograph of the space you want blinds installed and approximate dimensions of the floor area or window and we can provide you with an estimate of the price prior to arranging a full home consultation. The more information we have from you, the better we can serve you. We find customers appreciate our transparency and there are no nasty surprises at the consultation. We understand your time is valuable and we want you to feel comfortable that you have as much information available before our home visit. Of course, if digital technology is not your thing, we are happy to visit you and provide a full consultation and price at the home visit.

Once a request for a consultation is received one of our managers will try to contact you within 24 hours. If we are unable to do so we will keep trying, supplying us with full contact information will help us in this task. Consultations take place in your home at a time to suit you and can normally happen within two weeks or sooner of the request being made.

At the consultation we will conduct a full measure; offer you a price and issue you with an offer letter.  We can give you most fabric samples at the consultation.

Upon receipt of a signed acceptance of the offer blinds are manufactured and an installation date is then offered to you which is normally within 4 – 6 weeks during our peak season and less time during our quieter months, of the acceptance being received by Oakhurst.

Boris Johnson’s announcement that our country is effectively on lockdown for the foreseeable future, affects the majority of people in the UK now.

As a family business we are concerned for the welfare of our staff and customers and have studied closely the Covid 19 - government guidelines for business and employees as well as Boris Johnson’s announcement of 23rd March 2020 on the restrictions and how they affect how we trade.

As such, we believe we are allowed to continue to trade as our manufacturing staff and fitters are not able to work from home and so can travel to and from work to our workshop in Amesbury, Wiltshire to manufacture the blinds or install the blinds at the customers home.

As the weather is rapidly improving and we move to the hot summer months, people’s comfort in their home will be a priority and so planning ahead for purchasing bespoke blinds such as ours is imperative at this time of year. Our telephone will be manned by Corinne, for enquiries and to support our customers too. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer services and are endeavouring to support customers to the best of our abilities at this time.

Our staff have been instructed for a while now to maintain the required safe distances between each other and because of the nature of our product have always maintained high hygiene procedures like washing hands regularly and sanitising work areas.
